Relevant authorities
In addition to Workindenmark, which is part of the Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment, there are several other authorities that employers in Denmark, should be aware of and seek guidance from when recruiting from abroad.
Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI)
SIRI issues work and residence permits to workers arriving from both within and outside the EU. If you are a citizen of an EU country, the rules for free movement within the EU apply, and you can enter and work in Denmark. If you are a third-country national, you must apply for a residence and work permit through various schemes.
New in Denmark
Nyidanmark.dk is managed by SIRI, and here foreign employees can apply for residence and work permits, and employers in Denmark can seek guidance for their part of the process.
International Citizen Service (ICS)
ICS is a collaboration across relevant actors, including SIRI, municipalities, and SKAT, working with the registration and entry of foreign citizens. There are six ICS centers in Denmark where foreign workers must physically appear when entering Denmark.
